Tuesday
Thanks
Been silent here for sometime. Been busy with a whole bunch of great weddings this past summer. Got this from a client a few weeks back. Always good to hear we all had a good time after the shoot.
Monday
The Smallest
As I mentioned in a previous post there are large weddings, small weddings, intimate weddings and then there was the nuptials of Denise and John - the smallest wedding. Just the two of them, the officiant and I on what was the most perfect fall day in the hills outside South Woodstock. We gathered for a quick ceremony and a few pics and a tour of the property which just so happens to be an old monk monastery.
Friday
The Model.
In my last post I mentioned shooting a wedding along the southern coast of Massachusetts in a hurricane. Well my next wedding was the complete opposite, deep in the heart of the green mountains and the weather perfect. Sabrina and Kevin's wedding was held at the very beautiful Hildene in Manchester, Vermont. Everything was meticulously planned and the day went as smooth as any wedding I've ever shot. (all credit to Sabrina and her Mom who just happen to be event planners among other things) The extra special bonus was that Sabrina is a professional model. She had a sixth sense of knowing when the camera was pointed her way and without me asking strike the perfect pose or just a small smile if the mood asked for it. Needless to say my assistant Garren and I walked away with a some great images and had a blast doing it.

This might be my second favorite photo from the wedding season, the books, the color, the texture and the genuine smiles all work together for me.

Hurricanes.
I've photographed weddings in blistering heat. I've photographed weddings in massive thunderstorms. And of course I photographed weddings with perfect weather. But a hurricane with flooding rain and damaging winds you ask? Yup. Britney & Andrew, Coastal Massachusetts, Hurricane Bill. Nothing anyone could do but smile and make the best of it. And all was not lost, the rain stopped shortly after the ceremony and we still were able to make the short drive to the beach for some very fun photos.

Major road flooding on the way to the beach. The trusty bus got us through!

You would never know that a hurricane just blew through.

Wednesday
Lilac Inn, Vermont.
Some weddings are big, some weddings are small and some weddings are intimate. The wedding of Lindsay and Greg was intimate. Held at the Lilac Inn, in Brandon, Vermont on a steamy Sunday summer afternoon it was just Greg and Lindsay and a few very close family and friends.

Which shoes?
My assistant Kaht all strapped down - amazing photographer and amazing bootinier pinner.

Ceremony again.
The family had a great house on a nearby lake so we made quick work and headed there for a few portraits.
Lakeside.
The road to the lake house was picture perfect.
